It reminds us that the church is not merely a building but a community of believers who are united in worship and service to the Lord. A church is edified when every believer actively participates in glorifying God and encouraging one another in faith. The psalm begins with the invitation, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth." Joyful worship is contagious. When believers gather with sincere hearts and joyful spirits, they strengthen one another and create an atmosphere where God's presence is experienced. Key verse :   12 "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." — Judges 6:12 DEVOTION The story of Gideon begins during one of the darkest periods in Israel's history. Because of their disobedience, the Israelites were oppressed by the Midianites for seven years. Fear dominated their lives. Gideon himself was hiding in a winepress, threshing wheat in secret to protect it from the enemy. Yet it was in this moment of weakness that God appeared to Gideon and called him a "mighty warrior." God did not see Gideon merely as he was; He saw him as he could become through divine grace and empowerment. Gideon felt inadequate, insignificant, and unqualified. However, God's response was simple: "I will be with you" (v.16). The church today often faces challenges that can create fear, discouragement, and uncertainty. Christ grants this grace not as a crown of status, but as a commitment to serve, inviting leaders to become living sacrifices so the faith community can flourish. "Bearing with one another" means actively showing patience, love and care to the community. Jeremiah 1:5 DEVOTION Jeremiah began his ministry during a difficult season in Judah's history. The nation was spiritually unfaithful, morally corrupt, and surrounded by powerful empires competing for dominance. In the midst of this uncertainty, God called Jeremiah and reminded him that His plan for Jeremiah's life had begun long before his birth. God had known him, set him apart, and prepared him for a specific purpose. Jeremiah's first response was not confidence but hesitation. He saw only his youth and lack of experience, believing he was unqualified for such an enormous responsibility. God prepared good works in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10), but none of us has any ability or gift to boast about because they are all given by God to equip us for His task (1 Corinthians 15: 10–11). As we read the passage we observe  two contrasting lifestyles of the wealthy man and the abject poverty of Lazarus. The wealthy man lives in the lap of luxury and pomp while poor Lazarus lives on the crumps of food that fall from the table of the wealthy man and having stray dogs lick his wounds. Now both men die and that is when we read about complete reversal in the situation of both men.   Lordship of Jesus Christ - St Thomas Day Bible Reading: John 20: 24 - 29 Key verse :   28 John 20:28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” DEVOTION Apostle Thomas helps us believe in Christ by giving us the most exalted personal testimony of Jesus’s deity: “My Lord and my God!” . In verse 27, after saying to the eleven, including Thomas, “Peace be with you,” Jesus says to Thomas directly, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. It records David’s acknowledgement that God’s people can only give back what God has first given them, making it one of the Bible’s clearest expressions of stewardship, gratitude and worship. David gathered the leaders of Israel and encouraged them to contribute resources like gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood and precious stones for the future temple. People responded to David’s request generously. Generosity begins with the leader as David did not just ask the people for donations, he gave sacrificially from his own personal wealth first.
