Women Who Trust God: Fearless and Faithful

Bible Reading: Matthew 26: 6–13

Key verse 13

13. “Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will
also be told, in memory of her.”

DEVOTION

The woman who anointed Jesus at Bethany stands as one of the greatest examples of fearless faith in the Bible While others questioned her actions and criticized her for "wasting" expensive perfume, she was concerned only with honoring Christ. Her love for Jesus was greater than her fear of people's opinions.
She brought an alabaster jar of costly perfume and poured it on Jesus' head. It was an act of complete surrender, sacrificial love, and unwavering trust. She gave her very best without expecting recognition or reward. Although the disciples misunderstood her, Jesus understood her heart. He defended her, praised her, and declared that her act of devotion would be remembered wherever the Gospel is preached.
This woman teaches us that faith often requires courage. Trusting God may invite criticism, misunderstanding, or even rejection. Yet those who place Christ above the approval of others will never lose their reward. God sees the heart, values sincere worship, and honors those who serve Him with wholehearted devotion.
Throughout Scripture, God used women of faith: Sarah, Ruth, Hannah, Esther, Mary etc.  Their strength was not found in their own abilities but in their confidence that God is faithful.
Today, God continues to call women to live with the same fearless trust. Whether serving quietly in the home, the church, the workplace, or the community, every act of faithful obedience offered to Christ has eternal value. A life surrendered to Jesus becomes a testimony that inspires generations.
May we all, like the woman of Bethany, choose faith over fear, devotion over approval, and Christ above everything else.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of the faithful woman who honored Jesus with wholehearted devotion. Give us the courage to trust You even when others misunderstand us. Help us to offer our best in love, worship, and service. Strengthen every woman to walk fearlessly in faith, knowing that You see every sacrifice and reward every act of obedience. May our lives bring glory to Christ and encourage others to follow Him. In Jesus' name, Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Those who trust God fear no criticism, because their greatest desire is to honor Christ rather than please people
