Education for the Transformation of Life 

Bible Reading: : Proverbs 8: 1-15

Key verse

"Counsel and sound judgement are mine; I have insight, I have power. By me Kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just." Proverbs 8: 14-15

DEVOTION

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines knowledge as information or awareness about a subject, while wisdom is good sense, judgment, or insight. Proverbs mention wisdom repeatedly. So why put such emphasis on wisdom? Is the Bible telling us to prioritize education?
Today, education is closely correlated with progress. It is seen as a requirement for a good job, earning money, and gaining respect. But does having all the facts and expertise really help us make the correct decisions?
Proverbs speak about the ability God gives those who fear Him to discern between right and wrong. Education becomes transformative through our deep relationship with Jesus, equipping us to interpret the facts and opinions the world throws at us and make decisions aligned with God’s will.
King Solomon was considered one of the wisest kings, yet wisdom without a right relationship with God led him to make bad decisions. Nicodemus was a well-learned teacher who wanted to understand the kingdom of heaven, but understanding alone was not enough. Matthew, however, gave his abilities to Jesus, who blessed him with understanding that changed his life.
Whether choosing a subject, career, life partner, or medical course of action, we may have all the facts and still struggle with UNCERTAINTY.
As Christians, we do not have to look further than the Bible. We must prioritize education, bring it before God in prayer, and allow His guidance to turn knowledge into wisdom.
When we operate in wisdom, our education, knowledge, and abilities become transformative—for us and others.

PRAYER

 O Lord Jesus, we commit our minds, our studies, and our education to You. Guide us with Your wisdom, which is more precious to us than rubies, knowing that nothing we desire can compare. Transform our lives from the inside out, so that we may live honorably and walk in Your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water. Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest (Exodus 40: 12-13). Priesthood among the people of God was a divine command and initiation.
