Holy Qurbana: Table of Reconciliation 

Bible Reading:  :I  Corinthians  10:14-22

Christian Unity in the Body of Christ
Christian unity is one of the essential imperatives of the gospel. When someone is born again, he or she is born into the family of faith for all eternity. This family of God’s people is the Church.
Unlike any earthly institution, the Church is not divided by physical boundaries, race, culture, education, or any other human distinction. Instead, the Church is united by the shared experience of God’s grace through Jesus Christ.
No member is greater than another, just as no part of the body can boast over another part. The proper response of every Christian is to love and value one another, honoring each person’s service and contribution to the health and well-being of the Church throughout the world.
The Lord’s Table and the Table of Idols
In this passage for meditation, Paul speaks about idol feasts and the Lord’s Supper. He exhorts believers to flee from idolatry, reminding them that the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons and not to God.
Paul makes the contrast clear: we cannot drink the cup of the Lord at Communion and also drink the cup of demons. We cannot belong to the Lord’s table—a table of mutual love, reconciliation, and kindness—while also taking part in a table marked by jealousy, envy, gossip, and enmity.
Before we partake in Sunday Communion, we must examine ourselves and be certain which table we belong to and whose side we are on.
At the Communion table, believers celebrate their unity in Christ with one another, renewing their commitment to God, to God’s people, and to God’s mission.

PRAYER

Accept, O Lord, our feeble efforts to praise You and thank You for all You have done for us. We are sinners, and You are the Lord of all mercy. Remove from our hearts every trace of festering pride, evil desire, false motive, insincerity, envy, and lack of love for one another. May the feast You offer every Sunday truly become a table of reconciliation. Keep us blessed, Lord. Amen.
 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

  Every time we participate in the Lord’s Table, we are reminded that our past can be forgiven, our present can be strengthened, and our future is secure in Christ.

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water. Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest (Exodus 40: 12-13). Priesthood among the people of God was a divine command and initiation.
