Tongues of fire – Spirit breaks through confusion

Bible Reading: : Acts 2: 1-13

Key Verse: 1

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.” Acts 2:1


DEVOTION

Coming together as believers with one heart and mind brought extraordinary experiences of the Holy Spirit coming upon each of them. It means that, collectively and individually, the Spirit of God can come into our hearts.
Those who came together were from different places and spoke different languages. It means that God understands His children equally, wherever they come from.
What an uplifting experience it must have been!
God wants us to live a Spirit-filled life so that we can glorify Him every day in all walks of life. As we gather together, as we sing together, and as we partake in Holy Communion together for worship, we feel the presence of the Spirit of God touching our hearts.
When we sing together, pray and praise together, and listen to the Word of God together, we are moved by the Holy Spirit and feel the presence of God in the sanctuary.
May this experience strengthen us to live a Spirit-filled life for His glory.

                                            PRAYER

 God our heavenly father, thank you for bringing us closer to you by touching our hearts with your Holy Spirit
Amen.

Let the spirit within you be Holy.

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water. Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest (Exodus 40: 12-13). Priesthood among the people of God was a divine command and initiation. God wanted some people to be separated for the special ministry among his people. God appointed Aaron and his descendants to take up this kind of ministry among the people of God.
