THE ONLY  RIGHTEOUS GOD AND A SAVIOR

Bible Reading:  Isaiah 45:21-24

Key Verse Vs 21b

Verse 21B  “ Was it  not I  the Lord?  And there is no God apart from me, a righteous
God  and a savior; there is none but me.

DEVOTION

In Isaiah 45:21  the prophet  asserts the uniqueness  and righteousness of God, declares himself as the only savior, highlighting that the salvation is not found in human effort, money or power. It is available through  His righteous character and unmatched power. Because He is holy and just, cannot ignore sin, yet in love, He provided  Jesus to bear our punishment offering his righteousness instead of our own. Through Christ's death  guilty sinners, once justly under wrath, came into a new relationship with God as His beloved children under grace.
When  we are justified, God takes our sins and places them on Christ, and then He takes the righteousness of Christ  and places it on us.  It means our sins are imputed  to Christ, and His sinlessness is imputed on us.  Righteousness of God refers to His inherent  quality of being morally right  or just. It underscores His  integrity, fairness, and faithfulness to His promises.  The context of this verse emphasizes God's sovereignty over history and His ability to declare the future.   The  Nature of God as  a savior demonstrates His  desire  to redeem the fallen humanity. In a world filled with uncertainty God's promise of salvation through Jesus Christ provides hope and  certainty.
Trusting in a righteous God means  believing  that he will judge  justly and uphold truth. This verse  invites us to declare God's truth and counsel together.  As believers we are called not only to receive salvation but also to share with others, proclaiming His righteousness  in our lives.

PRAYER

Lord thank you for being our only savior. Forgive me  for trying to save myself or trusting in temporary things. I acknowledge that besides you there is no other savior. I turn to you today for strength and salvation, relying completely on your righteousness. In Jesus name . Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

How does knowing  that  my righteousness comes from Jesus (not earned ) ,change  how I approach God today?
