From Strangers to one household of peace

Bible Reading: Ephesians 2:11-22

Key Verse Vs 14

"For He himself is our peace  who has made us both one and has broken down  in his flesh the dividing
wall of hostility'

DEVOTION

Glory to Jesus Christ, Glory Forever!
In this passage, Paul reminds believers that they were once far from God, separated and without hope. They were outsiders, not part of God’s promises. However, through Jesus Christ, everything changed. His sacrifice brought those who were far away near to God. On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus entering Jerusalem as King. While the people welcomed Him with praise, His true mission was to bring peace between God and humanity. He came to remove the barrier of sin and make a way for everyone to be united with God.
Jesus breaks down barriers. Sin created a wall between us and God, but Jesus removed that wall through His death. Because of Him, we are no longer separated or rejected. Just as the crowd welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem, we are welcomed into God’s family through faith in Him.
We are now part of one body. Christ unites people from all backgrounds and makes them one. We are no longer strangers, but members of God’s household. Together, we are being built into a spiritual house where God lives through His Spirit.
As we celebrate Palm Sunday today, it reminds us that Jesus did not come only to be praised as a King, but to bring true peace and reconciliation. Through His sacrifice, we are no longer separated from God but brought near and made part of His family. This passage teaches us that we now belong, and we are called to live in unity with others. As we remember Jesus entering Jerusalem, we should also open our hearts to Him daily and live in the peace He has given us.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to bring me near to You. Thank You for breaking down every barrier that separated me from Your love. Help me to live in peace, unity, and love with others, just as You have called me to do. Amen
