GRACE WRITTEN ON THE HEART

Bible Reading: Jeremiah 31:31–34

Key Verse Vs 33

“I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” – Jeremiah 31:33

DEVOTION

Picture standing at the edge of a chalk-dusted classroom, watching as the teacher writes an important rule on the board; a rule meant to guide you every day. Many people try to remember what is written like this.
But God wants something deeper. He wants hearts that truly know and love Him.
Through Jeremiah, God promised a new covenant. His law would not just be on stone tablets; He would inscribe it on hearts. God's Word would become part of a person’s identity, guiding thoughts and actions every day.
God's grace on our hearts changes how we obey. Obedience is no longer a burden but a joyful response to His love. The Holy Spirit helps us make choices that honor God.
Children with God’s grace on their hearts love and obey God sincerely, not just out of duty (John 14:15), they:
Remember God’s Word and keep it close (Psalm 119:11).
Show kindness and forgiveness to others (Ephesians 4:32).
Choose what is right even when alone (Colossians 3:23).
Grow in love, patience, and humility each day (Galatians 5:22–23).
Trust God and seek His guidance when making decisions (Proverbs 3:5–6).
As God’s grace fills our hearts, His love begins changing our thoughts, words, and actions each day. Over time, our lives reflect more of His character and goodness, shining them for others to see.

PRAYER

Dear loving Father, Thank You for writing Your Word on our hearts. Thank You for loving us even when we mess up and for showing Jesus’ grace. Help us keep Your Word close and remember it in all we do.  Let Your Word guide our thoughts and actions. Help us grow closer to You and keep our hearts faithful and full of grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
