DEVOTION

Acts 3:19-26 provides an emphatic message about repentance, restoration and the fulfillment of God's promises through Jesus Christ.  As we explore these verses in  details, following reflections are worth discussing.
CALL TO REPENTANCE:  Apostle Peter urges people to repent and turn to God so that their sins may be wiped out. This emphasizes the importance of acknowledging wrong doing and seeking forgiveness.  What specific actions or attitudes do we need to turn away from, in order to draw closer to God?
REFRESHING FROM THE LORD:  The promise of spiritual refreshment highlights the transformative power of repentnance. Turning to God leads to renewal and restoration.  Engaging in prayer, worship, and  study His teachings can be avenues for renewal.
THE COMING OF THE MESSAIAH: Peter speaks of coming of the Jesus, who will bring ultimate restoration.  This is reminder of the hope found in Christ's return. Cultivating a sense of hope can help you navigate challenges with faith.
PROPHECIES FULFILLED /MOSES' PROPHECY: Peter refers to Moses, emphasizing  that Jesus is the prophet foretold who  must be listened  to, and rejecting Him has serious consequences. Apostle also explains that Jesus will restore everything  in God's timing to fulfill the promises.
THE COVENANT  AND BLESSING  >  JESUS AS THE ULTIMATE BLESSING
Peter continues  to  connect  the blessing of the covenant with Abraham to the work  of Jesus, highlighting that the salvation is for all people, not just Israelites.
Concluding verse of this passage, V:26  emphasizes that Jesus  came to this world to bless the people  by turning them from their wicked ways. This reinforces the theme of redemption.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, help us to turn our ways to God, repent, make commitment to deepen our relationship with Christ,  and enjoy the blessing of redemption , and restoration in life.  Help us to set aside time for  prayer and enjoy the presence of believers who encourage growth in faith .Amen.
