Joy in spiritual Insight and God's Glory

Bible Reading: :: Ephesians 1:15-23

Key verse

Bible Verse::Vs 21 far above all rule and authority ,power and dominion and every name that is invoked not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

DEVOTION

The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ leads a believer towards sanctification. And sanctification of a believer does not happen by itself but by the power of the Holy Spirit and through the prayers of others. Our prayers may draw us closer to God and, at the same time, reveal God's wisdom, so that our hearts will become increasingly enlightened in our day-to-day life. Here are the three questions this passage asks us, and they help us check our lives toward total sanctification.
    • What is the hope of his calling for us
    • What are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints
    • What is the immeasurable greatness of his power
While our Calling is towards sanctification, how do we keep our hope alive in our day-to-day living? The hope of God's calling must be revealed in the daily rhythm of life, no matter what happens. And that hope will be living and active in our day-to-day life if we answer the second question, which is that we run towards the riches of God's glory, and that is to be among the Saints, not just being successful in our worldly life. When our goal of running towards God's glory and the process of sanctification are clear to us, then our part to pray for each other becomes our habit in our spiritual life. And we realize and experience God's immeasurable power.

PRAYER

 Dear Lord, today we pray for the one who sits next to us in our church, and for the one who sits next to us in our workplace. As we seek the prayers of God's children, we commit to praying for others that they find spiritual insights that reveal God’s glory to them in their day-to-day living. Amen

Thought for the DAY

 Life is fulfilling only at our sincere efforts in understanding the immeasurable greatness of God’s power in our day-to-day life.
