Called to Obedience of Faith

Bible Reading: :Romans 1:1-7

Key verse

“Vs5 Through Him  we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name  among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ.

DEVOTION

Glory Be to The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God Forever!

In these verses from St. Paul to the Romans, he is reminding the believers that they are called not to just believe in Christ Jesus, but to obey him through their faith. This type of obedience is not about following directions to please God. It is about allowing our faith to grow stronger by trusting who God is, and what He has already done for each of us. When St. Paul writes, “called to belong to Jesus,” he means that our every direction, identity, and purpose in life should come from him. As said before, we don’t obey to earn God’s love. We are to be obedient because he already gave us His sacrificial love.
In verse 2, St, Paul also explains the gospel that was promised long before Jesus Christ was born. This shows how God’s plan has always been steady, and set for many years. As we start to be obedient to God, we are living out the story that God has been writing for generations. Many times, staying obedient can be hard and difficult especially when we don’t understand everything God is doing for us. By having faith it helps us to trust in His plan, even when the path may not feel clear because of our human comprehension.
Paul reminds us also that we are “set apart: for God’s abundant purpose. This means our lives should be holy and worthy temples of habitation for God in our hearts and minds. To be set apart is to understand that obedient faith changes the way that we speak, treat people, and how we handle our trials and tribulations. As Christ’s faithful children, we are all called to respond to His guiding voice through obedience. May God bless you all. Amen.

PRAYER

Lord, help me obey You with a trusting heart. Strengthen my faith so I can follow Your voice, even when I don’t understand everything. Thank You for calling me to belong to You. Amen.

Thought for the DAY

Today, take a moment to ask God to help you follow Him with faith that is steady and brave.
