 Marriage call and commission

God's Blueprint for Marriage
Gen 2:18-25
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh
(Gen 2:24)
In the beginning when God created the Heavens and the earth, it was
without form and void. But in all divine splendor He created the sun, moon, stars, and seas. As well as the birds, fish, and other animals. Finally, on the sixth day, he created
man. Out of the ground, he created Adam. In Genesis 1:26, we read that God created m
man after his own likeness and to have dominion over all the earth. In Chapter 2, we also read that all of the animals were brought to Adam to see what he
would call them, and that whatever he called the living creatures, that was its name.
However, a suitable partner was not found for Adam. God could have created a companion for Adam from the dust, but instead He chose to make his
companion, the woman, from Adam’s own flesh and bone. In doing so, God sets the
blueprint for marriage in which a man and a woman, when they are joined together in a marital union, become as one flesh. Verse 24 of the same chapter
tells us that this is the reason why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to
his wife. This is not to say that we should abandon our parents after marriage. It simply means that the primary focus should be on our spouses, and the ways
in which we can create a close bond with each other.
These days, many marriages are failing due to the lack of understanding of God’s
design of marriage . We need to remember that God chose our partners, and He is the one who ordained our marriage. Marriage does not run on auto-pilot;
they require attention and work. As we navigate the complexities of modern life, let us
remember the sacredness of  human relationships. Let us cherish the bonds we share with our partners, recognizing them as gifts from above (James 1:17).”
For God desires us to have a marriage that grows deeper in companionship, and is
firmly rooted in His love . We must learn to love our partners with the same love that Christ has shown to us. ";Love each other with genuine affection, and
take delight in honoring each other (Romans 12:10).”
Successful marriages also require a heart that forgives, and eyes that are able to see
the best in one another. This can only be made possible when you rely on the
Heavenly Father and His word in all circumstances Devote a time of fellowship by
meditating on scripture and praying together with God's help and our personal commitment to our spouses, we can have a marriage that not only honors Him, but
also fulfills our need for companionship. For a cord of three strands (God, husband, and wife) is not quickly broken ( Eccles 4:12).

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us to be faithful in our marriage covenant which you have ordained since the beginning of time.
May we bring glory and honor to you in all aspects of our lives, especially in our married life. Amen.

Thought for the Day
Today, let us remember that in the garden of companionship, our relationships are divine gifts. Just as God hand picked our partners, may we nurture our marriages with intentionality, forgiveness, and a steadfast commitment to God's design. Let us
strive to see the best in each other, uplift one another, and build our homes on the foundation of love and faith. With every action and word, let us honor the sacredness of our unions and seek God's guidance in every step.
