Jesus Christ who transforms human situations

Romans 12: 9-16

In this letter, Apostle Paul writes to the believers in Rome. This passage talks about the transformation which we go through when we believe in the truth of the Gospel. This transformation happens through faith and daily practice of reading God’s word and through prayer. Paul encourages the believers to submit our body and mind to Christ and make it a living sacrifice which is acceptable to the Lord. God has the ultimate power to renew our mind and the way we think. We ought to crucify our sinful nature and must learn to see the world through God's perspective. Furthermore, the scripture talks about the way Christians ought to live their life by genuinely loving all God’s creatures and hating evil. Closing eyes and ears to evil is taking part in the evil itself, so ask God to give you the courage to fight the battle against evil. And this battle is fought through prayer. Taking revenge is not advised, instead the Lord tells us to “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). God will give you the wisdom and power to cruise through those situations in peace. This passage also talks about some values which we need to practice in our lives and those values are described in Galatians 5:22 as the “Fruits of the Holy Spirit” which are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control.

                                Prayer
Let us pray for God’s grace to transform our lives to live a life which is pleasing to God and store up treasures in heaven.
                             THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
