 Annunciation to Virgin Mary

Acts 16:11-15

Verse 15: When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

When the Angel of God appeared before Mary and declared to her of God's great plan for her without question she accepted it. In the scripture reading we see in the same manner how Lydia believed and accepted Lord and persuaded her household to believe and accept Lord. In the same manner we need to be prepared to be used by God by putting our faith in Him and living our lives as a servant of the Lord. During all the challenges we face in a culture that has forgotten God, we have been chosen to be a part of God's loving plan and to be the Gospel that is intended for all men and women. When we hear the Word of God don’t just listen take it to our hearts, understand what is being told to us and what is being expected of us, remember to follow faithfully in a manner that is acceptable to the Lord to benefit not just us but also those who are around us. 

Prayer
Lord, we thank you for choosing us to be a part of your great plan, help us to accept and prepare ourselves to act according to the great plan that you have chosen for us Amen.

Thought of the Day
Remember when God is executing his plan in our lives he also designs and arranges events which continue to unfold until his purpose is revealed.

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water. Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest (Exodus 40: 12-13). Priesthood among the people of God was a divine command and initiation. God wanted some people to be separated for the special ministry among his people. God appointed Aaron and his descendants to take up this kind of ministry among the people of God. Priests are always separated and appointed as channels that connect God with his people. All throughout the history of Israel, priests played an important role in connecting people with God and to lead and guide them in the statutes of God. But there are incidents in the Bible where the priests failed in their duties and that led the people to go away from God.
