FAMILY THAT HAS TO BE BUILT UPON CHRIST
Ephesians 3:14-21 In today’s devotion, we will turn to Ephesians Chapter 3 verses 14-21. This bible portion focuses on trusting God and casting all our worries fully on Him and not on earthly people. In today’s day, especially after COVID, it is very easy to prioritize other matters over God. We may tend to say, “I had work last night, I’m too tired to go to church in the morning, I would rather sleep” and this is very common. We are all humans, we struggle and sometimes forget to prioritize our creator when we are so busy. But in Ephesians Chapter 3 verses 18-19 “ may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God”. It is very important for us to take time out of our busy schedule to praise and honor God for all the good deeds He has done for us. His plan for us is greater than we can ever imagine. Although things may not work accordingly to our plan; we must understand that God’s plan is far better than ours. When times get rough, it is easy to stray away from God, but those are the times when we must be stronger in our faith. Our creator surpasses all. He is an ever-loving Father who can do more than we can fathom, as stated in verse 20. No matter how busy we are, it is very important to devote some time every day to meditate and focus on God. He deserves all glory honor and praise.
As a youth, we are the rising members of the church who are to take responsibility to lead as stewards of God. The foundation we are given at Church is what will set us apart to be leaders of the Kingdom of God. Although we may be busy with our school, work, or personal life, we should always set time aside for God and make Him the center of our life. When we give God full control, He will do marvelous things in our life that we never thought of. But it is important to remember that God’s timing is better than ours. So do not be discouraged when you don’t land that dream job offer you always wanted or when you don’t get that A+ on an exam. Just remember that when one door closes, another door will open. Stay strong in your faith in God and He will guide you.
Prayer
Father God, we ask that you give us the strength to stay firm in our faith with you amidst all the challenges we face. Give us the perseverance we need to overcome the obstacles in our way and to remember that you have a bigger and better plan for us. Amen.
Thought of the day
Are we giving God full authority to lead us? Are we devoting time and prayer to God?
