 Journey with the Risen Christ

Psalm 23
V. 4 – Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
This Psalm displays the great love and cares the Lord has for us. The main focus of this passage is in verse 4, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me..” This verse reflects how even though our journey may be dark, the Lord is still guiding us and providing us with the strength and courage to face our biggest obstacles. 1 John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
God is our shield
Through God, we are able to continue with His purpose. God is our shield by protecting us from succumbing to trials and tribulations. He is the light we hold in our lives to bring His good news to others and cherish it ourselves.
God is our sword
Through God, we are able to triumph over our problems. Not only does He protect us from darkness, but promises eternal salvation. He is the reason why we know all our problems are temporary because He is always the solution.

Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for the abundant blessings You have showered on us. We pray that we remember that You are the true solution to our problems. Please continue to guide us to Your purpose and give us the strength to face our troubles. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thought for the day:
Let us continue to grow with strength as we journey with Christ. May we be stepping stones to the ones around us as we preach Your Word fearlessly.
