 HEALING THROUGH FORGIVENESS OF SINS

2 corinthians: 12:7-10

Verse: 7  To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surprisingly great revelations, there was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.

Pride, or conceit, in all spheres of human life, is considered a vice or sin in God's holy court.  It can either be in secular life or in spiritual realms.  God allows thorns in our lives to refine us, to keep us humble, and to be sure He gets the glory for all we do. In 12:7 Paul tells us” there was a torn given to me in my flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me”. Buffet in its original meaning from greek text,  is,  to beat or strike with a fist, inducing intense pain and suffering on a daily basis. Paul's thorns were the trials, sufferings, troubles of the body and the soul. His thorn might be, persecution and distress.
God did not want Paul to exalt himself by the abundance of revelations, and  God permitted trials and pain to keep Paul humble. Please note, that it was only because God permitted, satan could buffet him. Therefore Paul repeatedly requested God the third time to remove the sting of pain from him. God's reply was an assurance that thorn in his flesh is His will, and His grace was sufficient to strengthen him in his weakness. God wanted Paul to depend wholly upon His power.
Most people do not know the reason for their suffering in life.
It remains a fact that all-powerful God can heal in a split second. Though God revealed the reason to Paul, most often it remains as a mystery and it may not be for a reason as in Job's suffering. All we can do is to believe that God does not do any mistakes, trust in the Lord and his grace. Be confident that  His love is unconditional, follow Jesus in faith. If we are ever under the sin of pride or conceit, repent and commit youself to the Son of God and trust that his grace is sifficent to change your life.

Prayer
Lord Jesus help to trust in you always, depend on your power
though we do not the reason for sufffering. Forgive our pride in all realms of life, and bless us by your grace. Amen

Thought for the Day
If you repent , God will restore you and you will glorify him .
