 Sharing the Good News

Psalms 146
V5” Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob. Whose hope is in the Lord his God”.

Our Lord, who is gracious and full of mercy, adored us so much that he was willing to sacrifice his own son, Jesus Christ, for our salvation. Despite knowing that we would abandon and condemn him, he chose to sacrifice his son for us to receive and share the good news. Hence, we should worship the Lord for his kindness and grace that he bestowed upon all of us. Many of us might wonder what this good news is that Jesus Christ was sent to share with the world.

In Mark 1:14 – 15 talks about the good news as:  14. After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15."The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!"

Hence, the Good News is the revelation of God's Kingdom's impending arrival. In Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4, the coming of the kingdom is discussed as opening our hearts to accept the Lord's will and being open to what the Lord wishes for our life. So, when we give Lord permission to take control, one must keep their selfish desires at bay. And a heart full of joy and praise for the Lord is the key to this transformation. So, what is the purpose of praise? Praise diverts our attention away from our difficulties and focuses us on God. Praise encourages us to think about and appreciate the Lord’s personality. Praise also elevates our perception from ourselves to the sublime. Psalms 146 urges us to put our reliance in God and not in any human beings. The final section depicts the God's personality and how he shields us from life's challenges. While God, not human leaders is the hope of the needy, we are his instruments to help here in on earth. Our role as instruments is to share the good news and bring honor to the most high. Therefore, as good Christians, let us begin by believing, praising, accepting, and sharing the good news with rest of the world.

Prayer
As we enter your holy presence, Lord, we praise you and thank you for the kindness and mercy you have showered on us. We are grateful to be able to live the life that you have given us. And as we prepare for the arrival of your kingdom, we pray that you take charge of our will and our lives. Help us to gain the strength and courage to share the good news with everyone, just as we received your good news. – Amen .
