Faith Community to be reformed by the word of God

Revelations 1 :1-9

Vs 6. To whom who loves us and freed from our sins by his blood and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion fore ever and ever Amen.

God’s word is unchanging and as Paul says to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16, all scriptures are God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Bible is the answer for all our questions, and many learned, skilled intellectuals have found comfort, solace, and peace in the word of God. God's word is a double-edged sword strong enough to pierce one's hard-hearted attitude and outlook and melt it like snow. It has the power to cleanse our sins even if it is crimson red and full of stains. Many were saved from the edge of suicide by this word. The word can truly reform any Christian from his rude and rough attitudes towards life to a pleasing, smooth and appealing one. The word of God is our solid foundation upon which we build our empire in this world. We who trust in the word and His commandments live not according to what someone has said or what we have heard about it but by a first-hand experience of the comforting and abiding love that radiates through the word when we accept Jesus  Christ as our Lord and savior. The world and its attractions can fade away in the twinkling of an eye, but the word of God remains unchanged for ever. Let us embrace this word of God that gives us comfort, peace, and knowledge, liberates, restore, and redeem us from our bondages.
In today’s meditation, John the apostle is presenting the word of God which is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Verses 3 of Chapter 1 reads “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it because the time is near." A person can be blessed by reading Revelation or cursed by tampering it. But the greatest blessing is to those who accept the word and live accordingly. Jesus Christ is the alpha and omega for those who trust in Him. He is eternal, omnipotent  creator and ruler of the world. Christ is the embodiment of the basic principles of God’s word such as love, peace, trust, and hope. James 1:25 says “whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it--not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it--they will be blessed in what they do.”

PRAYER
Lord, your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light in my path. Strengthen us every day to abide by your word and live a life clinging to it, not getting swayed by the worldly noises and attractions. Amen

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
