God who works through generations
“Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.”
Sometimes the trials of life often weigh us down and tempt us to stray. Our Lord God has showered countless blessings upon us and we must continually be praising Him and glorifying His name! Often times, we look to men or other places for help instead of looking to God. When we face problems in our life, we should surrender it to God and pray about it until he answers our prayer. We often doubt God for not answering to our prayers. But he does everything in his own time and that will be the best time in our lives.
Only God is worthy of our complete trust. If we trust in our national leaders or in other people, they will often fail us, if we trust in our health it will decay when through various reasons and if we trust in our money, it will vanish through our lives. In Psalm 146:3-4, it tells us, “Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.” God alone is worthy of our trust. If we trust in the Lord, He will be our constant source of hope and help in all our life’s situations.
God deserves our praise and trust. Our God is always faithful, and He provides for those in need. The Lord is the one who provides for all of our physical needs. He is the one who frees us from our self-imposed prisons of sin, fear, and anxiety. It is the Lord alone who lifts us up when our spirits are “bowed down” by the pressures and troubles of this world. It is He alone who frees us from spiritual and physical blindness.
Let us be passionate about seeking a closer relationship with God. Let us be passionate about doing His will and trusting in Him alone for our help. Last but not least, let us be passionate about praising our Lord God who is abundantly worthy of our trust and praise.
Prayer: Lord our God, thank you for the countless blessings you shower upon us. Help us to always keep our trust in you and not on earthly things. Amen.
Thought for the day: “I am your God and you are my people”
