We die to live the message of love

“You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone”  (2)
If today God told you that tomorrow would be your last day on earth, what would be your final message?  Your final tweet?  Your final Facebook update?  Despite all the pain, trials, tribulations, the message of our Lord Jesus was rise & love. Christ rose from the dead.  Death was abolished.  Love was established.  The message spread.  Despite the evil one and all the evil forces at work in the world, the message was strong, because the sender was stronger. He loved us before he rose from the dead so he would love just the same after being raised to perfection.
 Dying to Love
Ironically here we find to live, we must first die. (Galatians 2.20) Death is the only way to love, and life.  The old man must die in us, and the new man must be raised by GOD, and GOD alone.  The devil thought victory was his by crushing the savior to die.  He was sure he had it.  For him, death is the victory.  But the prince of this world was unable to see what the Prince of Victory itself was up to.  God who allowed death into the world, found the way out of death.  Just as sin and death entered the world through a man, righteousness and life entered the world through the man Jesus.
There can be no surprises for the sanctified.  Christ was saddened, dejected, and even hopeless on the cross. But he was never surprised by man and the evil of the world (John 2.24). We too should not be surprised by how the world would treat us.  We can respond with grace and love only if we are truly dead to ourselves.
 Forgiving Unnaturally
Do you find it hard to forgive others?.  The natural man can never forgive easily.  But where man’s nature fails, God’s spirit prevails.  When his human nature would have cursed us, JESUS’ Spirit would only ask for forgiveness for us on the cross.  He cursed the fig tree for not producing fruit; he could have easily done the same to those who crucified him.  He didn’t.  Why?  The message is love.  Not the natural love of man, but the supernatural love of God, and God alone!
Being assured
Do you really think that the evil one, who failed to bring the Lord Jesus to his knees in worship, could succeed in keeping the same Lord Jesus away from you?  If you do, then meditate on this verse from Romans chapter 8:  No power in the sky above or in the earth below--indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing in ALL creation; on this roller coaster life in which the evil of the world looks to drown us, we must be assured of this amazingly simple fact, nothing can keep you from Him.  So live this message.  It is the least we can do by and for the greatest of Heaven.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for being all in our lives. Amen
Thought for the day: Live this message of Love against all odds and all the world can offer.
