Worship: An Offering

Bible Reading:    Hebrew 9:22-28

Key Verse Vs 28

“Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many…” (Hebrews 9:28)

DEVOTION

Worship, or Aradhana, is often understood as reverence and adoration toward God. But Hebrews 9:22–28 reminds us that worship is also an offering, something surrendered from the heart.
Let us reflect on what the Word of God teaches us in this portion:
∙ Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness
∙ Christ entered heaven itself, not an earthly sanctuary
∙ He did not offer Himself repeatedly
∙ He appeared once for all to take away sin
∙ He will come again to bring salvation
When I reflect on this, I often wonder, if Christ gave Himself as the perfect offering, what then is my offering to Him?  Unlike the old covenant, we are not called to repeated sacrifices, but to a life of response. Our worship is no longer ritual alone, but a life surrendered.  How then may I worship my Lord, with my life?
∙ Worship in Gratitude (Nanni Ulla Aradhana)
A heart that understands His sacrifice responds with thanksgiving. Gratitude itself becomes an offering.
∙ Worship through Surrender (Samarpannathinte Aradhana)
Christ gave Himself fully. True worship calls us to surrender our will, plans, and desires to Him.
∙ Worship in Daily Living (Jeevithathiloode Aradhana)
Our actions, words, and choices reflect our worship. A life of obedience honors Him.
∙ Worship in Hopeful Waiting (Pratheekshayulla Aradhana)
We worship as we wait for His return, with faith, readiness, and hope.
Worship then becomes more than a moment it becomes a way of life. When we offer ourselves fully, the Lord shapes us, refines us, and prepares us for His coming.  Let us offer ourselves daily, not out of obligation, but out of love.

PRAYER

Loving Father, we praise You, we adore You, we glorify You.  Thank You for the perfect sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Teach us to live lives of true worship, filled with gratitude, surrender, and obedience.  Help us to offer ourselves daily as a living sacrifice, pleasing to You.
Prepare our hearts as we wait for Your coming.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
