RISE AND BUILD WITH GOD'S VISION

Bible Reading:   :Nehemiah 2:13-20

Key verse: Verse:20   I answered them by saying,” The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding, ….................or historic right to it.

DEVOTION

Nehemiah's return to Jerusalem was a mission inspired by God's vision for  His people and city. After a night of prayerful inspection of the broken walls, Nehemiah shared his vision  with the demoralized society.  What can we learn from Nehemiah's life, to rise and build  with God's vision?
1.SEEING THE REALITY WITH GOD'S EYES:     Nehemiah's  first step was to survey the damage, understanding the reality of Jerusalem's ruin and disgrace. This was not done to be in despair, but to understand the problem and the need for action. The broken walls in one's life  and communities must be honestly assessed. This could be a lack of spiritual appetite, a lack of  honesty and integrity., or a lack of compassion. It is important that one should acknowledge the decay and feel the desire for a renewal.
2.RISING TO ACTION: OVERCOMING OPPOSITION WITH FAITH:
The response to Nehemiah's vision was a resounding one, "Let us start rebuilding”. This is what God desires – not just to passively acknowledge the vision , but to actively participate in its  realization. Nehemiah and his people faced ridicule and mockery from regional leaders. His response was instructive - he did not allow criticism to distract or discourage ,   instead it helped him to focus on bringing glory to
God as he trusted in God's power to give success. It is important to note that one should persevere, rely on God's strength and purpose than one's own abilities.
3.THE GOD OF HEAVEN GIVES SUCCESS:    Nehemiah's  confident declaration” the
God of heaven will give us success; therefore we His servants will arise and build”, underscores a profound truth. Success in building with God's vision depends not on one's own strength or strategies alone,  but on his power and faithfulness. This perspective helps one to face challenges, knowing that God is with us  and  will ensure the ultimate triumph of His purpose.
Nehemiah 2:13-20 teaches  us more than just rebuilding the walls; but it  teaches about embracing a God- given vision for renewal in all areas of our life. Let it strengthen us to have the courage to see the broken places in our life and in our communities, and to articulate God's vision for restoration. May it help us to rise up and build with Him, trusting that the Gd of heaven will  grant success.

PRAYER

Lord, give eyes to see the areas in our lives and communities that need rebuilding. Grant the courage and strength to persevere the opposition with boldness
embracing your vision. Help us to trust your power and faithfulness , so that we may rise and build for your glory. Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Can we be confident that God of heaven will grant success even in the midst of opposition, by trusting in His faithfulness, power and purpose?
