Preparing the World for the Lord
Revelation 1:1-7

7. Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail. So it is to be. Amen.
 
The book of Revelation is a book that really delves into the second coming of Jesus Christ and how important it is for us Christians to not only prepare ourselves for it, but the world as well. This verse is a really important verse that helps set the theme for the rest of the book of Revelations because it shows how Jesus will return and what it means for us.
“He is coming with the clouds”
Just as Jesus ascended into heaven, he will return. His second coming is a fact that is simply stated and one we must truly believe. He will return in such a way that we will not miss. This is stated in many other verses in the Bible as well. For example, in Matthew 24:30 it says, “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.” God will not keep his return quiet; this powerful return is to show every single being Jesus Christ.  This verse also describes the fact that every man will see and mourn, which brings us to the next point.

“every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him”
As said in this chapter and in the Mathews chapter, the second coming of Jesus Christ isn’t an event that only believers will see. Every eye will see and will mourn for Jesus will be judging everyone from the living to the dead.

This verse is a short explanation of Jesus’ second coming. In order for us to best prepare for this is to really understand His return. Once we really believe that, we must prepare by building our faith and spread His gospel to those who don’t know of God. God put us in this world for a reason. We all have a purpose and mission in this world. Matthew 24:14 states “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” It is our duty to help spread the word of God so others may be saved as well. 

PRAYER

Lord, help us to really understand the gravity of Your second coming. Help us with our walk and spiritual growth to not only to be saved when the end of the world comes, but also to bring as many others to You so they too may be saved. Amen.

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water.
