The Image of the Invisible God

Bible Reading: Colossians 1:15–20

Key Verse:  15

The son is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation

DEVOTION

On this New Sunday, it has been a week since the Resurrection: where grief has turned to wonder, and doubt begins to give way to faith. In this sacred time before the Feast of Pentecost, Paul’s words in Colossians remind us of a profound truth: Christ is “the image of the invisible God.”
What does it mean to see the invisible?
With Christ, the unseen becomes visible. The God we cannot touch or fully comprehend has made Himself known—in compassion for the broken, in power over death, in sacrificial love on the cross, and in victory through the empty tomb.  The Resurrection is not just a simple event; it is a revelation. It shows us that the One who created all things is also the One who redeems all things.
St. Paul declares that all things were created through Him and for Him. This means our life is not an accident of history. We are part of a greater story held together in Christ. Even now, in moments of uncertainty or renewal, He is sustaining you.
And through His body and blood, He reconciles all things to Himself— life where there was death. On this New Sunday, we are invited not only to remember this truth but to live it.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, you are the invisible God and the one who is risen and  live among us ,our comforter ,peace and a strong refuge in our afflictions. Enable us to trust you ,obey you and surrender to you and lead a victorious life.
