HOLY SPIRIT – ONE AMONG THE TRINITY

(GALATIANS 5:16-26)

Walk in The Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26)

Devotion

The life of the Holy Spirit lives through us is in perfect conformity to God’s law. In Galatians 5:16-26, we can find two different principles under which a man or woman can live. The life lived under the principle of the flesh is being contrasted with life lived under prevailing power and influence of the Holy Spirit. The life the Holy Spirit lives through us as manifested by the fruit He produces through us is one that is perfect conformity to God’s law.
The fruit of the spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control. If we look through the passage, we can see what Paul is trying to say to us. Walk in the spirit and we shall not fulfill the lusts of the flush.  The fruit of the spirit, which tend to make Christians agreeable one to another, as well as to make them happy. By describing the works of the flesh and fruits of the spirit, we are told what to avoid and oppose, and what we are to cherish and cultivate. The fruits of the spirit plainly show that such are led by the spirit.
Who is the Holy Spirit? The one among Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is the presence of God in life of a believer. But this does not mean God separates Himself into three separate parts. But Holy spirit is a person, not a thing. The Holy Spirit is God and has thoughts and a will. The Holy Spirit thinks about believers in Christ and responds to them. When we pray or read the Bible and sense God speaking to us through that. This is an example of the Holy spirit at work in our life. The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is God. If we are followers of Jesus, we need to thank God for giving us His Spirit as worthy of honor and love. The Holy spirit provides believers with the strength to live the Christian life.
Prayer
Dear Almighty God, please help us to walk in spirit, making progress toward spiritual maturity by the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence and power. We pray that the Holy spirit come and equip us to lead a blessed Christian Life.
