 Jesus Christ who redeems All

 Romans 15:14-21
”It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.” Romans 15:20
Devotion
Paul was not one amongst the twelve disciples who walked with Jesus. He was an opponent of the gospel and violently persecuted Christians. Christ drew him to Himself through Paul’s Damascus Road experience. This incident revolutionized his thinking and his life was radically altered. Jesus transformed him into a proponent of Christianity. His life had a twist and a turn, when he encountered the risen Lord. His goal in life was changed. Paul said in Philippians 1:21,”For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.“ All that he held dear and valued before his coming to Christ became trash for him, for the surpassing knowledge of Christ. He wanted to extent the same grace that he received from Christ to others. Nobody is beyond God’s grace, love and mercy. He can use anyone to accomplish His purpose, when we submit ourselves into His mighty hands. Paul was as a scholar, theologian, a church planter and evangelist. He struggled and risked his life to spread the gospel amongst the gentiles. He was incarcerated, flogged severely, beaten with rods, stoned, and shipwrecked for the sake of the furtherance of the gospel. He was unstoppable for the Gospel, regardless of the risks involved in it. He was committed to the One who called him out of the darkness into His light. He went with the Gospel, to uncharted territories, where people never heard the gospel. Paul was indeed, the salt and the light of the world. He fulfilled the commission of Jesus in Matthew 28:29:”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,“ God created the people of all nations and loves them unconditionally. He has no favoritism. John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Christ died on the cross to redeem the entire mankind. There is no discrimination between human beings; we are all one in Jesus.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending Jesus to redeem us from our slavery to our sins, and for making us co-heirs with Christ. Enable us to love our fellow human beings without any discrimination as you love us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Thought for the day: Christ paid in full for our sins, with His precious blood and redeemed us. We are His treasured possession.

Thought for the Day
