V7.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Solomon in the book of proverbs, gave us the perspective of a brilliant teacher, who offers his insights on a wide range of subjects from relationships to wealth to spirituality. Proverbs also shows us that God's wisdom can guide us through our life's journey – and that anyone who can access wisdom and knowledge can enjoy the gifts that it freely offers. The theme of the chapter one of the book of proverbs is imparting wisdom in the life of a believer. The first nine chapters of the book are short essays of instruction and exhortations directed toward the young in particular to listen to fatherly wisdom.
A wise man is one who understands well, that the of fear of the Lord is fundamental in acquiring knowledge and wisdom, and seeks to obtain understanding and longs for learning what wise behavior is. Wisdom will lead to righteousness, justice and being fair with others. Solomon explicitely relates wisdom to fear of the Lord . It also relates to more of honoring and have reverence for God than “fear” in its definition. We acquire wisdom and knowledge knowing and fearing God and submitting ourselves to His will. By despising this truth as in the case of a fool, is like rejecting god's wisdom and discipline. Solomon further reminds us about the need for listening to father's and mother's instruction and teaching. If you d o so, it will garland to grace your head and prevent from sinners enticing you.
Now let us briefly examine the kinds of wisdom and its attributes. There are four types of wisdom viz; earthly wisdom, intellectual wisdom, devilish wisdom, and wisdom from above. charercteristics of wisdom are love of learning, curiosity, prespective,judgement and creativity. Basics of attaining wisdom: are fear of the Lord, instruction, knowledge, understanding, discretion, counsel, reproof. Lastly How can we seek the wisdom from the Lord : - Fear God, desire to learn, pray about it, and study God's word.
Lord our God, give us the insight and understanding to seek you more and more, study the word, ask the help of the holy spiirit to acquire wisdom and knowledge, in order to live a fruitful life .Amen

Proverbs 2:6 God gives wisdom that comes from his mouth -The word of God . Wisdom of God results in knowledge and understanding. And Knowledge is the information we learned and wisdom is the ability to use it in a profound way.
