Worship - The Celebration of Faith

Psalm 148

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created,

Celebration of faith includes active participation in church sacraments and continuous practice of God’s words and commandments and abiding with God all the time. A believer cannot stand on his own unless attached to the true vine Jesus Christ. Colossians 3 :17 says: and whatever you do whether in word or deed do it all in the name of Lord Jesus giving thanks to God, the father through Him. When we claim we belong to the faith community or proclaim our faith we are indeed confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead and He is coming back again to gather his faithful ones.
There is no condemnation for those who trust in Jesus. What is the evidence of faith and how can we exhibit it?. Jesus says to His disciples in Mathew 17:20: if you have faith as a grain of a mustard seed you can say to the mountain to move, and it will move. Nothing shall be impossible for you.”. So when we celebrate faith, God demands absolute surrender and trust in Him.
In today’s devotion from Psalms 148 God wants humanity to praise Him and exalt Him. God’s purpose of our creation is to praise God and worship him. God wants the heavens to praise that includes sun, moon, stars and the host of angels. He wants the waters above the heavens and the skies to praise Him. Not only the heavens God wants the earth and the inhabitants to praise Him. This includes the fruit trees and the cedars, the snow and the clouds, beasts, and cattle and all the kings of the earth. He does not exclude the young men and the virgins, old men, and children. Let every one praise the name of the LORD. The word praise is used 13 times in 14 verses in this psalm. Paul says in Hebrews 13;5: Let us continuously offer God a sacrifice of praise.”.
To conclude let us evaluate our worship and praise practices. Are we in accordance with what God wants from His creation. If not let us modify and praise him in truth and spirit. God has given countless blessings to His people. We live In a world where people expects thanks for opening a door for us. if it is so how much shall we thank the almighty God who keeps us safe, protect us, guide us, listen to us and answers our prayers and cries how much shall we thank and praise Him every moment of our life.

Prayer
Lord you created us to praise you and worship you. Enable us every moment of our life to the big responsibility day by day. Let us live in this world but not of the world and moving away from you. Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
