 Annunciation to Virgin Mary

Ephesians 1:3-10

V3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ”.

1. We are chosen by the Father (vs.4-6)
      Lord chooses before the creation of the world, He blessed us, and He predestined us in accordance with His pleasure and will. It is by grace alone that we are chosen by the Father to be holy and do according to His will.

2. We are redeemed by His blood (vs7, 8)
      It is only by the blood on the cross, shed for us for the forgiveness of our sins. He has lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. Our Lord's stamp is upon our body. We should know them, obey them and live by them. For they are life.

3. We are chosen for a purpose (vs. 9, 10)
      Our life is to fulfill the purpose Lord has made us. Everything not only in heaven but on earth is made in its structure by Him and for Him and works only when it works in His way. If we try to live or work in some other way, it works to its own ruin.
 

Prayer
Lord, our living God, by whom all things are made and all things will return to you, we are chosen by you, redeemed by your blood and put for a purpose, for you are my fulfillment and my fullness. Amen. 

Thought of the Day
God’s chosen people with a purpose are to e His ambassadors.

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water. Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest (Exodus 40: 12-13). Priesthood among the people of God was a divine command and initiation. God wanted some people to be separated for the special ministry among his people. God appointed Aaron and his descendants to take up this kind of ministry among the people of God. Priests are always separated and appointed as channels that connect God with his people. All throughout the history of Israel, priests played an important role in connecting people with God and to lead and guide them in the statutes of God. But there are incidents in the Bible where the priests failed in their duties and that led the people to go away from God.
