Revelation 7: 9-17
Revelation 7.10
“And they cried out with a loud voice, saying,
Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb”.
Many of us see visions at different age levels, and most of the visions may not come true in our lifetime as expected. There was a righteous priest named Zachariah of the division of Abijah who served at the temple in the days of Herod, king of Judea. While he was performing his priestly service before God, an angel of the Lord appeared and announced to him that a son will be born to him and his mission is to make people ready for the coming Messiah. Also will serve as a forerunner before the first coming of the Lord in human form. (Luke 1: 1-22)
Six decades later another forerunner sees a vision about the second coming of the Lord with all His majesty as King. This elaborate celestial vision is recorded in the last book of the Bible. In chapter 7 we see the primary purpose of preaching the gospel is not to change our temporary living conditions, but salvation is a free gift from God and the Lamb and we need to receive that gift. (V.10) Do not degrade or neglect this divine gift of great salvation ( Heb.2:3) to satisfy our earthly needs. Our primary prayer should be counted among the multitude of countless chosen people who washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb, persevered in tribulations, lived in the presence of God, and served both day and night without expecting anything in return (V.14-15) The reward for those people is that one who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them (V.15) What an amazing vision to receive a free gift from the Lord and live with the Lamb forever and ever, moreover He will shepherd and guide us to the spring of the water of life, and wipe away all our tears from the eyes (V.17)
Prayer
Lord, I would like to be counted among the countless multitude of believers who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb on your second arrival. Amen
Thought of the Day
“When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and the time shall be no more … Then when all of life is over ,and our work on earth is over …
And the roll is called up yonder , I’ll be there . “
