FAMILY THAT HAS TO BE BUILT UPON CHRIST

 Colossianas:3:12-25

Verse:  25  Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.

The family is the fundamental institution of society ordained by God. It is constituted by marriage and is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Three fundamental events in God's plan combine to make marriage and family relationships possible for time and eternity. They are the creation, fall, and atonement. Can we formulate five ways by which one can raise a strong family?  They are 1.  Read God's word regularly. 2.  Keep God as the center of the family always.  3. Pray together as a family. 4. Include God in all your decisions. 5. Teach good values.  6. Hold a weekly family night. 7. Go to church together.
A family where people honor their father and mother may live long in the land, the Lord your God has given you. A friend loves at all times but a brother is born in a time of adversity.  Children's children are crown to the aged and parents are proud of their children. God's plan for the family is for the happiness and progress of the children. True family members are people you can depend on and trust to do something,  because you know what they are capable of and won't betray you. A submissive wife means, humbly sharing her opinion with her husband. It does not mean to invalidate him while being empowered to give your own point of view. Paul admonishes the children to obey their parents and be submissive to them in everything, for this pleases the Lord almighty. And to Fathers,  Paul advises not to irritate or treat unfairly so as to make them resentful, instead raise them in the admonition of the Lord.
Genuine spiritual living is bringing relationships into compliance with the example of Christ.  2. Love is meeting the needs of others, regardless of the cost to self. The model for this is Christ himself. Paul reminds again those with authority that they have a master in heaven who observes their internal attitude and external performance.

Prayer
Lord our master,  we are just clay, mould and shape us the way you want to be fruitful in our family relationships, and the relationships with our brethren.

Thought of the day
All and /or any work done in the honor   of Christ will be
rewarded
