 HEALING THROUGH FORGIVENESS OF SINS

Psalm 32

Verse:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said I will confess my transgressions to the Lord and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Have you ever tried to hide something from God? More often, people try to hide their everyday sins from God. Just like Adam and Eve,  we all try to hide something from God , or for that matter,  like children hide  mistakes from  their parents. Even though we know that God is holy, and will not tolerate or stand the sin,we always try a loosing proposition, but He is  always watching you in and out thoroughly, and nothing is hidden from him. The author of this psalm David tried to hide his sins from God, and it  was like a yoke of burden on him until he confessed to God.
The psalm presents with an intriguing  choice – whether we will hide our sins from God, or will let God cover up the sins for us?
If one is truly sorry for what they have done, you are asking for pardon from God which will end up in healing of the mind and forgiveness. Your sin is not remembered any more. You will not have to tackle with shame and guilt, but receive peace and healing of mind.
Forgiveness allows your brain to produce more oxytocin, meaning you will end up in having less fear of shame and guilt of the sin, and will have more ability to move on from the hurtful situation. Sense of pardon or forgiveness with positive thoughts and feelings in turn, allow your physical body to heal. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, cleanse us all unrigheusness.
When God forgives our sins, he forgets them. That means he no longer holds our sins agaist us. Amen.

Prayer
Merciful father, Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy, cleansing our multitude of sins, washed away by the blood ,shed on the cross. Lord we repent of our sins, forgive , and heal our physical bodies and minds. Amen.

Thought for the Day Martin Luther said, “Sin has but 2 places it may be, either it may be with you, so that it lies on your neck, or  upon Christ the lamb of God. If it lies upon your neck you are lost, if however it lies on Christ, you are free and will be saved”.
