  VICTORY THROUGH  FASTING AND PRAYER

Psalm 116: 1-19

Verse: 2 Because he has inclined his ear to me,  therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

This Psalm is a prayer of thanksgiving, and it is written from a post-crisis perspective.   Prayer in this psalm bears witness to what God has done on his behalf, and a pledge of his ongoing devotion to the Lord. Psalmists do not reveal the exact crisis or problem, but it reflects an incident that drained the life force out of him emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. And yet in that situation, Psalmist announces that his survival, his deliverance, his rescue, his salvation, the restoration of life, all came from God almighty alone.
In this Psalm, we are blessed to hear a clear statement of faith that arises from the heart of the believer's heart. He tells us what he believes, why he believes, and what he is going to do about it. Let us try to study a few points of interest. 1.A redeemed sinner's statement: “I love the Lord”.2.God has listened to his prayer when he went through depression and agony 3. God has liberated him from his sorrow, sentence, stumbling, he became free in Christ. 4 Believer is pondering how he is able to repay the Lord ever for His mercies. A.. he is promising to live right  B...He wants to believe it right. C.he promises to pray right with faith. D.he promises to praise God.
E.He promises to keep all his promises forever as long as he is alive.
Does the word of the psalmist make any change in our heart? Do we like to express our faith  like him or express our willingness  to keep all the promises like him for all the mercies he showered upon us in our life? If we do, let us kneel before him, renew our commitment to him , express our love to him from the depth of our hearts, and lift our praises to him who redeemed us from the  power of sin.

Prayer
O Lord our most merciful, how can I repay for the blessings I received from you so far in my life. Sorry Lord  for all the shortcomings in my life. Please accept me as I am,  bless me and strengthen me .Amen.
