Easter:Celebration of new life in Christ
1 Corinthians 15:20-28
Vs  1 "But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep".
Is Death the end or the Beginning?

Who would have thought the world would ever see a pandemic of such proportions? Surround by death it is only natural for fear to grip our hearts, especially those of us living in New York and New Jersey. Entire generations wiped off in countries like Italy and Spain, people dropping like flies. What is it that we fear? Fear of starvation when we run out of resources? Fear of violence and brutality? Fear of dying alone or fear of death itself?
I believe it should be impossible for a true Christian to have any of these fears! Why? Because we have a Savior Who Is Alive- Who conquered death itself! He is our Provider, our Protector, He is our Resurrection, and He is our Life Eternal!
If we had an idea about our destination would not that affect our journey there? For example, for a child on his way to Disney world the flight there would be so wonderfully exciting whereas the flight back would be such a 'drag'!
So if we know where we are headed post death- to an eternal life with our loving Father then why would we fear death? But for those of us who lack faith, who are doubtful about their future should turn to the Word and renew our faith in Him.

Satan took possession of our souls when sin entered this world and the Mighty Lord bought it back with the Precious Blood of His son! Today the streets, the malls, the parks are empty but guess what so is the Tomb!!!
Paul refers to Christ as the "First-Fruit" - as in the initial installment, the rest of the crop would follow during the great harvest! His Resurrection is a Guarantee of the entire harvest which includes yours and mine as well! Lazarus, the widow's son, Jairus' daughter were all a preview of what was to come, that death can be conquered!
No matter what direction this pandemic takes, we have hope; Christ is our hope in the face of adversity!  Christ has ownership of us not just our physical bodies but our souls as well! Believe and be prepared!

PRAYER
Dear God, Lord of life, cast out from us fear and anxiety, strengthen us in faith. We submit ourselves before Your love and seek Your mercy and Blessing to live according to Your purpose and fulfill Your mission. Amen
