Redeeming Christ

Monsy Mathew,
Randolph MTC, NJ

In that day you will say: "I will praise you, LORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. —Isaiah 12:1

Sin separates us from God. But if we repent and seek for forgiveness from God, He forgives us. In Isaiah 6:5–7 we can read that Isaiah is guilty of having unclean lips. And when he cried, his guilt was taken away, later in Chapter 12 we can see that Isaiah was comforted by the Lord. We need to repent and seek forgiveness from God and man, in the areas where we are guilty of disobeying the Ten Commandments. And when the Spirit testifies that we are forgiven, we must tell others about our salvation. That we can understand from two Bible passages here below.
Jesus Christ said in a parable, “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” —Luke 15:8–10

Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”—(Luke 19:8–10)

Isaiah had also struggled for his salvation as all believers do. And when Isaiah found comfort from the Lord, he is filled with gratitude to the Lord. And that is what the Lord our God desires from us. Isaiah is a role model, like we are supposed be, “Lighted to Lighten”.

Accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and confessing our faith in Him, is a part of our salvation.Romans 10:10 says, For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to save us. Please help us to receive power through the Holy Spirit, so that we may witness the hope of salvation we have received through Your Son, and that we may be able to Glorify Your name. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every person, and it can never be filled by any created thing.  It can only be filled by God, made known through Jesus Christ. —Blaise Pascal
