Compassionate Healing

Dr. Rachel George

CSI Jubilee Memorial Church N.Y

“And the prayer of Faith shall save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.  And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”( James 5:15 )

Sin is evil and violates the rational nature of Man; as well as God’s nature and His eternal law. Hence sin is in opposition to the eternal law of God.  One cannot live peacefully in a world God created and live in sin.

Exodus 15: 26- If you will obey me completely by doing what I consider right and keep my commands, I will not punish you with any of the diseases that I brought on the Egyptians. I am the Lord who heals you.

Let us not be too quick to remove our pain in our life, physical, spiritual or mental, but consider this is a message from God that we should flee to God for remission of our sinful nature.

Romans 8: 28 Suffering confirms us to God’s Image. St Paul asked for healing of his physical illness but God says My Grace is sufficient for you.

In the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned against God the Father, the Glory of God left them and they suffered mental, spiritual and physical agony. But the compassionate and merciful God, the Father who created us, had a plan to redeem us from our sin. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross to redeem us. Though we are born sinful, Jesus Christ is standing at door of our hearts. We should open our hearts and receive Him as our Savior. Though our sin is red as scarlet, He will make it white as snow.
