Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to observe your righteous ordinances. vs.105-106
The Word of God is a lamp unto my feet: The word of God is like a torch that leads a person in a dark night. It shows him the way; it prevents him stumbling over obstacles, or falling down, or wandering off into paths which would lead him into danger. The light makes the person to see the path which he has to go so that he may not go astray.
The Word of God is a light unto my path: The same idea is much more clearly presented here. The light helps the person to see the path and also makes him aware about any danger in his path.
The Word of God gives us Direction: The word of God directs us in all our doubts and difficulties. It comforts us in all our fears and distresses. It is clearly mentioned that, he who makes the word of God his guide is in the right way. The Bible reminds us that the word of God is not just a lamp that shows us our next step instead it should be the light for our longer journey. Reading the Scripture each day, will help us to honor God and gives us a more clear and focused picture of our life.
The Word of God illumes our lives: Verse 105 emphasizes the power of God’s Word to illuminate.  Through the Word, God has given us the powerful light for our lives.  It is powerful because it is the inspired, infallible Word of God.  It shows us what we need to know to live as His people.
The Word of God strengthens our lives: The Word provides spiritual strength in our lives. The Psalmist says that he will study, learn, memorize, and meditate on God’s Word because the Word provides illumination, strength, and joy.

Thank you Lord, for inspiring all Scripture by the Holy Spirit. Give us the faith to receive and understand Your Word and live our life according to Your will. Amen
The Word of God renews us, restores us and transforms us.
