Mission in Christ's Spirit

4 but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of complete rest for the land, a sabbath for the Lord.
 
In Leviticus God asks Israel to set apart the Sabbath to the Lord. Do we have a Sabbath in our life? A time set apart for Him alone. A time away from all our distractions and hassles of this world. A time to rest and reflect on Him alone. It says a Sabbath to the Lord ! It is to Him. He wants to have that time in our lifetime set apart with Him. He wants to spend time with us. More than we long for Him, He longs for us. More than we miss Him, He misses us, because He loves us more, definitely much more than we love Him.
In the old testament time, we see this as a law established by God. But as we live in the period of grace now, we are not under law, but under grace. So whatever we may do, it shouldn't be forced. It should come out of love alone.
“ Let all that you do be done with love”1 Cor 16:14
Isn't that what is Christ's Spirit. Isn't that what is the true mission in Christ's Spirit. That whatever we may do , do it out of Christ's love.
In John 15:12- Jesus tells us” This is My commandment,that you love one another as I have loved you”.To me this is the true mission in Christ's Spirit. To love others as He has loved us and do everything out of that true and perfect love.
If we carry out this in our life, we would be carrying out the mission in Christ's Spirit which is pure love. His love is so deep and pure. Love originated from God alone, God is love, (1 John 4 ;16.) Now if we look around that is one thing which got so corrupted in our world today .The world has given many wrong definitions for the love.
Let us redefine that love, Let us find that perfect and pure love in Christ and spread and transfer it to others. Then if we touch ,hug, kiss and greet others in that Christ's love we will see healing, we will see miracles!!. Then we will definitely fulfill His mission in His Spirit .

PRAYER

Father, Help us to live a life that is pleasing to you by observing your Sabbaths and keeping it holy.  Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
8 Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work. 10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. Exodus 20:8

PRIESTHOOD: THE ANOINTED MINISTRY Exodus 40:12-16 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting... wash them with water. Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest (Exodus 40: 12-13). Priesthood among the people of God was a divine command and initiation. God wanted some people to be separated for the special ministry among his people. God appointed Aaron and his descendants to take up this kind of ministry among the people of God. Priests are always separated and appointed as channels that connect God with his people. All throughout the history of Israel, priests played an important role in connecting people with God and to lead and guide them in the statutes of God.
