Praise the Lord!

6 Let everything that breathes praise the
Lord! Praise the Lord!
As you read through the book of Psalms you notice the chapters are filled with various songs and praises. Some of these verses we find in praise and worship songs we sing on Sunday mornings, some verses we have memorized throughout our childhood and a lot of the time we see verses popping up throughout our every day lives.
Growing up when it came to family prayer and I had to read the bible, I would always flip to the book of Psalms pick a chapter and quickly rush through reading it. (I'm sure I wasn't the only one!) But if you look deeper into this book we can see different trials and hardships people faced and how they remained faithful and continued to glorify God! In Psalm 13, the Psalmist speaks about feeling forgotten by God. Psalm 18 has the Psalmist proclaims that God is his rock. Psalm 30 is about God turning the bad things into good..and so it goes on.
I know we all have moments when we think we have hit rock bottom and God has forgotten us, but it's not the case! We were placed here to do more than just go to work and school every morning. He wants us to serve and praise His name. To show those around us "His acts of power" and "His surpassing greatness".
The book of Psalms ends with verse 6 "let everything that has breath praise the Lord". We must remember to praise him through the roller coaster we call life.
"Praise him where? Everywhere
Praise him how? In every way
Praise him when? Always
Who should praise him? Everyone"

PRAYER
Father God we thank you for everything that you have done and
continue to do for us. Help us to remember that you are constantly watching
over us and holding our hand in every path we take. Help us to remember to
glorify and praise your name through not just the good but also the different
trials we face. Amen.
