THE GOODNESS OF CREATION
“And how happy i was with the world he created and how i rejoiced with the human family “.
King Solomon wrote the Book of Proverbs to teach people how to attain wisdom, discipline and a prudent life, how to do what is right and to give the knowledge to distinguish between the good and the evil. Our meditation today is focusing on a hymn describing this wisdom and the role of it in creation. God created everything and finally man in the image of the creator as the climax of His works. New Testament refers Christ as the wisdom from God and is  personified as an attribute.
Scripture says that wisdom is the primary and fundamental foundation on which our lives are built. To receive this wisdom which is God’s guidance, Solomon says  we must seek God’s will in all what we do. Jesus also emphasized this theme later in His ministry. Wisdom was there from the beginning of creation. It is up to us to grab it and follow it.  In Chapter 7 of Proverbs wisdom’s call is contrasted to the call of an immoral woman. In chapter 8 wisdom is portrayed as a woman who guides us and make us succeed. God approves those who listens to wisdom’s counsel. Those who hate wisdom love death. Wisdom shall affect every aspect of one’s life from beginning to end. To lead a glorious successful life we shall allow God’s wisdom to control all corners of our life. Love for God and love for sin cannot go together. Let us strive to keep a pure clean heart, break away from the bondage of sin and commit ourselves completely to God.
What are benefits of attaining this Godly wisdom which existed from the beginning of creation? The person who has wisdom is loyal, kind and   trust the Lord in everything.
Wisdom discovers knowledge and discernment, hates pride, arrogance and corruption. It gives us long lasting satisfied life. It has a reputation for good judgement, finds favor with God and man. Wisdom is always followed by success, health, vitality, riches, peace and protection. Even though we live in a troubled world if we have Gods wisdom we will experience His blessings every day in every aspect of our life.
In conclusion what are our values and priorities? In which areas we have not acknowledged Jesus in our lives. We may have allowed Him in many areas but still there may be few where God is restricted and these are the areas that can give us grief. As we entered a new year let this be our resolution. Make Jesus a vital part of all our thoughts and actions. If we do and are ready to surrender and submit to that Godly wisdom He will guide us lead us to glorious life.
Prayer: Almighty lord, the creator ,redeemer and our sustainer of life we praise you and adore you as you are the source of all wisdom and knowledge. Give us the serenity to accept and follow you and seek your  guidance  in all walks of our lives. Amen.
Thought for the day: fear of the lord is the foundation of true knowledge and wisdom; but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
