Spirit Transforms
Ezekiel 37

"I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (37: 6)

In this passage we read about the valley of dry bones.  Ezekiel talks about Israel's spiritual state from being hopeless to having faith.  What is your response when faced with an undesirable circumstance in your life?  Some of us may become overwhelmed and wonder why we have that burden in our life, others may come to accept it and understand that God is teaching a lesson through the trial and will bring us through it.  It's easy for some of us to become paralyzed by our fears, unanswered questions and situations that don't improve.
Ezekiel's vision for Israel was to have faith and be renewed regardless of their circumstance. This vision was for the Jews to realize Gods ability to deliver them from their captivity. God delivers us from our sin. As humans we are averse to confessing them or even submitting ourselves to God to deal with us. God looks beyond our circumstance and gives us inspiration to grow stronger spiritually. As humans, we have to properly nourish our bodies with a good diet, exercise, rest. When we don't take care of our bodies, we will automatically face the consequences, such as minor illness or a disease.  It's only through Gods grace that can deliver us from our challenging issues that we may be facing. We are placed in these situations not to be punished, but to fully understand that it is through the Holy Spirit that gives us a renewed perspective and deliverance from our circumstances. In the most hopeless circumstances of life, God can turn that around and breathe new life into us. We have to maintain an attitude knowing that God is bigger than our problems and cares about us beyond our understanding.  When we seek His grace in our lives, nothing can hinder us from receiving His blessings.

Prayer: Lord, when we face so many challenges and trials in our lives, help us to have the attitude and believe in you. We know that if even when we may be faithless, you remain faithful. Amen

Thought for the Day:  Only God can breathe new life into us through the Holy Spirit.
